The number of visitors to Ireland increased by more than 10% in the second quarter of the year, when compared to the same three months in 2014.
Figures released by the Central Statistics Office show that more than 2.3 million overseas visitors travelled to Ireland between April and June.
Earnings from overseas visitors increased by just under 18% to over €1.5bn in the three months.
The CSO figures pointed out that the number of nights spent in Ireland by overseas travellers grew by 8.6%, going up from just over 15 million to almost 16.5 million in the same period.
The amount of trips made by Irish residents overseas increased by 7.6% during the same period.
