BoI under fire over interest rate increase

Bank of Ireland is under fire over an increase in their credit card interest rates.

The biggest jump has hit customers with a Clear card, where the rate has gone from 13.8 per cent to 17.8 per cent.

The bank is blaming continued pressure from 'high funding costs and continuing high risk and loss profiles' for the move.
