Bank shares rally

Irish bank shares have rallied in early trading in Dublin today following the pre-weekend announcement that both AIB and Bank Of Ireland had passed the EU's stress tests for financial institutions.

On the Iseq index a short time ago Bank Of Ireland rose by just over 1% while AIB was up nearly 2.5%.
