August unemployment rate remains unchanged

The unemployment rate in August was unchanged from the previous month at 9.5%.

The seasonally adjusted figure is down from 11.1% at the same time last year.

206,500 people were unemployed in August - over 32,000 fewer than 2014.

The seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate was 20.7% last month - also unchanged from July.
