Anglo tops list of biggest losers

Anglo Irish Bank has topped the list of the biggest losses of any bank worldwide according to industry magazine The Banker.

The now nationalised bank lost €15bn last year.

The world's largest bank Citigroup only lost half that amount despite taking a massive hit in the sub prime lending sector.

AIB also makes the list at number 11 with losses of €3.1bn last year
