3,000 jobs on offer at tech-sector career expo

More than 3,000 jobs are on offer this weekend at a specialised career expo for the technology sector.

About 100 organisations will be present at the "Career Zoo".

An estimated 10,000 people are expected to attend the event, which gets underway this morning at the National Convention Centre in Dublin

CEO of Aon's global centre for analytics and innovation Constanine Beier said Ireland's workforce was one of the reasons the located here.

"In Ireland you have what I would call a very internationally-savvy workforce," he said, "people who have travelled quite a bit and got exposure internationally. It's important for us to have colleagues who are able to connect and communicate well."
