Hundreds of opportunities available at Jobs Expo

The country’s largest Jobs Expo returns to Dublin and Belfast next month, promoting employment opportunities here and abroad.

Jobs Expo 2014 will take place at Croke Park on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15, and the Belfast event takes place on Wednesday, March 12, at the city’s Waterfront building.

Both events offer free entry and opportunities to enquire about jobs across a range of sectors, including construction, IT and engineering.

Job positions available include 250 at Construction Jobs Switzerland; 75 at Dynamic Concrete Pumping Inc., Canada; and 30 at Irish Pensions & Finance, Dublin.

The Expo will also feature a CV and careers advice clinic and a series of seminars from life coaches and workshops with start-your-own business experts.

One business manager has taken to the airwaves to tell how she cannot fill 150 positions. Nicola de Beer, chief operating officer of Field Management Ireland, spoke to the John Murray Show on RTE yesterday.

Meanwhile FMI, who are not attending the Jobs Expo in Croke Park, have said they are looking for people to work in retail, sales, merchandising, in-store demonstrations and call centre. The company is now holding an open day in Dundrum Business Park tomorrow in a bid to attract suitable people.
