Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy last night slammed the Munster SHC final dismissal of Patrick Horgan.
Horgan was shown a straight red card by referee James McGrath in the first half of yesterday’s decider at the Gaelic Grounds after striking Limerick’s Paudie O’Brien on the helmet as the pair tussled under a dropping ball moments before half time. The furious Cork boss said: "It was an unbelievable decision that is all I can say. Anyone that was at the match can judge for themselves."
It is understood that Cork will appeal the suspension in an effort to have Horgan available for the All-Ireland quarter-final against champions Kilkenny later this month.
