MICKEY HARTE insists that Tyrone are not a spent force and that people should not expect a spate of retirements after their defeat by Dublin on Saturday.
The Errigal Ciarán clubman also says that he will be around next year as the Red Hands plot to make up for a disappointing exit at the quarter-final stage of the All-Ireland SFC.
He certainly does not expect to see a lot of changes to what he denies is an aging team.
"What’s a young lad?" asked Harte when quizzed after the game.
"Is 30 a young lad? ‘I would think that 30 is not too old for me.
"People are very quick to make people veterans and tell them how many miles they have on the clock but if we use Brian Dooher as our yardstick at 35, then our players are very young.
"I wouldn’t think that way. It’s not a time to think about (retirement).
"These decisions are for individuals to consider."
Could we take it then that he would be staying put?
"You can take that for sure."
