A choice of properties at Charlemont Heights

By Tommy Barker
TYPICAL. You wait for ages for a bus, then two come at the same time.

Now, the same thing has happened at Cork’s Charlemont Heights, with next door neighbours both on the move in the same month.

Last week no 6 in this Rochestown scheme of 16 detached homes graced these pages, now no 5 follows in hot market pursuit.

It, too, carries a €850,000 price guide, this time via agent Malcolm Tyrrell of Cohalan Downing, selling for its owners who have been in occupation since 1990.

In very good overall condition, it just needs individual decorative changes.

The new owners might decide to extend out the back, as there’s a favourable southerly aspect to the rear, sloping-up gardens.

It has great views out over the estuary at Rochestown towards the changed scenario at Mahon peninsula, now full of the twinkling lights of Mahon Point, motor and retail malls and a lot more.

Mr Tyrrell estimates the square footage at no 5 Charlemont, off Coach Hill, to be about 1,850, and it comes with four bedrooms, a 20’ by 13’ living room, a dining room 11’ by 11’, a kitchen with fitted units and appliances, hallway with access to a garage with conversion potential.

Three of the bedrooms have built-ins, and the master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite shower room.
