THE ISEQ index continued its upward momentum again yesterday as Eircom and Kerry drove the market. The exchange closed 6.05 points up at 7792.98.
AIB added 10c to €19.68 as the market awaits its end-of-year results today. Bank of Ireland shed 2c to €14.86 while Anglo Irish gained 9c to €13.09. IL&P also ended the day in positive territory up 14c to €17.99.
Eircom said it received a preliminary approach from Australian Investment Bank Babcock & Brown. Shares crept ahead 4c to €2.20.
