Bungalow close to booming Glanmire

BILLED as a redevelopment opportunity, this Glanmire roadside cottage/bungalow on a one-third acre site has a €300,000 price guide.

Set between booming Glanmire village and Riverstown Cross, the three-bed bungalow is within walking distance of both settlements and their amenities, shops and sporting facilities, says estate agent Sean O’Sullivan of Jack French Associates, which is locally based in the Glanmire area.

The cottage, with two reception, kitchen and three bedrooms plus bathroom, "is in need of major refurbishment, or may be levelled for change of use and planning permission" for other uses or another dwelling or two, suggests Mr O’Sullivan.

Facing the road, it has good gardens to the front and back. It has a wooded backdrop, and the selling agent says a similar nearby Brooklodge property was bought with the purchaser now applying for permission for two replacement dwellings.
