Flagship Ocean to City Race event attracts over 190 boats to Cork’s River Lee

Ireland’s very own long-distance rowing race took place in Cork on Saturday.

Over 190 boats took part in the Ocean to City Race flagship event of Cork Harbour Festival on Saturday.

More than 30 different types of boats were present on the River Lee, including kayaks, longboards, skiffs, thames waterman cutters and stand-up paddle boards.

Joya Kuin, event manager of Ocean to City Race, said, "It's spectacular, it's really really good to have everybody here after all the months of planning."
