Samsung may launch Note 8 in August

A new report from Android Police suggests that Samsung may launch the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone at an event in New York during the third week of August.

Referring to a leak of an alleged screen protector of the device and recent rumours from South Korean news outlets, the report notes how Samsung is likely eager to launch the Galaxy Note 8 before Apple releases the latest iPhone as both devices may end up being very similar visually.

Android Police notes that the South Korean company will probably launch the Galaxy Note 8 at a special Samsung Unpacked event in late August in New York.
