Nintendo to bring Zelda to smartphones

A new report from The Wall Street Journal states that Nintendo is planning on bringing The Legend of Zelda to smartphones with a brand new game designed specifically for mobile devices.

The as yet untitled Zelda game is reportedly being worked on by Nintendo's mobile game partner DeNA, and is expected to release later this year after the launch of the new Animal Crossing mobile game, which is scheduled for release during the second half of the year.

The report also states that Nintendo is working on a card-based Pokémon game for smartphones.
