Flynn strikes late for Pat’s

A dramatic last minute equaliser by defender Pat Flynn salvaged a point for St Patrick’s Athletic in a tense Dublin derby with Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium yesterday.

Former Rovers man Flynn found himself unmarked inside the Hoops penalty area to chest down a cross by Greg Bolger and fire the ball home.

The pressure is again on new Rovers boss Stephen Kenny with his side eight points behind Premier Division leaders Sligo Rovers.
