‘Busby Babe’ Morgans, 73, dies

Former Manchester United midfielder Kenny Morgans has died, aged 73.

Morgans, a survivor of the United team involved in the infamous Munich disaster in 1958, took ill on Saturday evening and passed away in hospital.

The Welshman made a full recovery from his injuries sustained in Germany and resumed his playing career, where he swapped Old Trafford for Swansea in 1961 having made 23 first-team appearances for the Red Devils. He returned to United for their 50th anniversary of the Munich tragedy four years ago.
