O’Riordan called into Tipp’s final squad

Tipperary manager William Maher has drafted 2011 All-Ireland minor football winner Colin O’Riordan into his squad for Sunday’s Electric Ireland MHC final replay with Dublin.

O’Riordan won’t be 17 until next month but he is already a two-time Munster MFC medallist and All-Ireland winner. O’Riordan, from the JK Brackens club, starred in Tipp’s march to All-Ireland minor football glory last year and recovered from a long-term injury to feature in this year’s Munster minor football final victory over Kerry.

But he is also a noted hurler and has been on Maher’s radar for some time.
