Magnificent Hodnett inspires O’Donovan Rossa

In 1992, O’Donovan Rossa won their first and, as yet, only Cork County SFC title, but they are now just two games away from repeating that feat as they produced a strong finish to see off Avondhu at Macroom yesterday.

When Colm O’Neill scored a fine point for Avondhu in the 44th minute of this quarter-final, it put the divisional side 1-9 to 0-9 ahead and in position to repeat their semi-final appearance of last year.
