Wallace rejoins Antrim management team

Jerry Wallace has rejoined the Antrim management team a week after surprisingly stepping down as manager.

County chairman Jim Murray confirmed the Cork native will act as an assistant to Jim Nelson.

Wallace was on the sideline last Friday when Antrim played out a two-point defeat to Wexford in a challenge match.

Murray said: “We were disappointed when Jerry resigned last week, he brought a lot to the Antrim set up since January. When he made himself available to Jim and the managerial set up the response was very positive.

“Jerry knows the players well and it would be foolish not to capitalise on the that insight and experience. The end result is a managerial team, led by Jim Nelson.Home
