MEDICAL sources said last night that a trapped nerve injurytypically produces numbness, pain or deadness in the limb.
The IRFU stated O’Driscoll’s nerve which also affects hisneck has been a long-standing problem. Laymen will be familiar with sciatica which, although producing pain along the legs, originates in a trapped nerve in the back.
