Business as usual for unflappable keeper Nash

As a goalkeeper, Anthony Nash is used to dealing with the occasional nasty delivery; as a spokesman for Cork hurling he’s having to get used to doing the same and yesterday, at the launch of the 2013 Allianz Hurling League, the current hurling All Star got just such a question — are all those rumours of discord in the Cork camp, discord especially in the management team, having a negative effect?

Business as usual for unflappable keeper Nash

“If it was coming from inside the camp then it would affect you but it’s not coming from inside the camp. There’s absolutely no change from any other year, there are rumours every year you start. There’s a lot of stuff written in the papers and I suppose if you flicked through them you wouldn’t be too happy to see it. You don’t let it get inside your head.

“To be honest, I try and avoid it and my family try and avoid it as well so it doesn’t get to me. The other boys are the same in that they try to avoid it too. If it was coming from inside the camp we would deal with it in-house.
