This lodge is rustic, in tooth and nail. Stone on the outside, and stone and brick and wood, and even more wood and stone and brick inside, it’s a sort of over-the-top handmade home all fashioned out of the above mentioned natural materials. Functional decor includes the use of tree trucks as supports. There’s about 1,000 sq ft here in this novel lodge, set out by the old all-weather hockey pitch in Tower, Blarney, near Muskerry golf course — about a 15 to 20 minute spin from Cork city.
No guide price is quoted, either above or below the €100,000, mark, and in keeping with the building’s individuality, the owner has adopted a sort of e-Bay sales approach—- he says it will sell for the best offer received by Aug 31, unless it sells beforehand.
