Paint wind turbines to blend in with background

Having just come back from a tour of West Cork, the white wind turbines have stuck in my mind.

Those with the land behind them should be painted army camouflage; those with the sky behind them should be painted battleship grey. Then you will see neither.

Haulbowline would be too delighted to give you the mix. It is a grey, with a hint of blue. Army camouflage is obvious. As for safety concerns, just as you can clearly see the navy ships berthed on the quays and can clearly see a soldier walking down the street, from close up, of course, you can see them both. But from a distance, you will see neither.

Then we will have invisible wind turbines, in our most scenic landscapes.
