‘Good Samaritan’ rail worker drove my blind son home

My son, who happens to be blind, was attending a concert in Dun Laoghaire last Sunday.

On the way home to Malahide, the train stopped due to a technical fault.

Two hours later, the train arrived into Malahide, at 12.30am. A wonderful Iarnród Éireann staff member named Shay offered my son a lift home, before driving to his home in the opposite direction.

Thank you, it’s great to hear stories like this.
