The Hi-B is a little pub on Oliver Plunkett St. to escape from it all. Be warned though, there aer no mobile phones allowed.

Enjoy some chips at one of Ireland's finest take-away's - KC's

The queues are legendary (and long) but are worth the wait for KC's signature King Creole.

Located at the heart of the city in what was once a church, the Triskel is a very popular spot for film fans.

Gaze at the stars at Blackrock Castle observatory

Visit the animals at Fota Wildlife Park.

Take in a sporting event at one of the many sports grounds around Cork

Hurling in Páirc Uí Rinn

Or some football when Páirc Uí Chaoimh gets redeveolped.

The redeveolpment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Go watch Munster play at Musgrave Park

See Cork City FC challenge in the League of Ireland at Turners Cross.

A walk around one of the county's parks, like Doneraile Park or Fitzgerald Park

Head to one of the county's great beaches

Kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle and get the Gift of the Gab

During the summer visit Spike Island off the coast where the former prison once stood

Take in the sights at one of the many seaside towns, like Kinsale

And while you're there head to Charlesfort for a look
