Wish List: Mary Jane chairs on show in Cork

It runs from 10 August to 9 September, celebrating the abundance of high quality craft produced in Cork. Pic 3: Neptune’s Chair by Anne Kiely is an homage to Ernst Haeckel, an eminent biologist and artist whose work consists of very detailed and colourful drawings of sea organisms. Kiely has used the Japanese technique, Shibori, to create a three dimensional finish which is permanent and functional. Her work will be on show during Cork Craft Month.
Pic 4: Well done, Carol Eakins, a second year student in BA Interior Design at Griffith College, Cork. Java Republic tasked the group to design a piece of furniture for their offices as part of the furniture and fitting module. Carol's winning design has incorporated the most tactile and relatable pieces from a used coffee machine to create Stacked Stand‚ a stylish hat and coat stand. Pic 5: This is Beach at Allihies, by Sara Roberts, who takes part in Cork Craft Month. She specialises in delicate and detailed ceramic wall pieces, depicting dramatic cross-sections of land and seascapes, mostly inspired by her immediate environment.
