From Moroccanoil to Miracle Oil
The mammy of the hair-care bunch, this argan and silicone mix has been much copied, and often for a lot cheaper. Apply a couple of drops to damp hair to speed up the drying process; use it to get a great, smooth blowdry and apply between washes to sleek ends. HHHHI
This silky fluid is worth picking up for girls with finer hair. It’s also suitable for blondes who find more heavy-duty oils weigh down or stain their hair.
Instead of argan oil, rouge oleifera extract is used here which is rich in antioxidants and essential lipids. That adds up to a hair-sleeking potion that the brand claims can restore damage too.
A blatant Moroccanoil copy but with a far tinier price point, if you can manage to find some of Aldi’s Miracle Oil still lurking from the frizz-prone masses, snap it up. This budget potion contains exactly the same ingredients as much pricer products.
A sparkling citrus spritz, expect to sniff bergamot, ginger orchid and galbanum (an aromatic resin), with heart notes of floral jasmine, orange flower and rose. This is a great mood-enhancing perfume.
Definitely not for shy, retiring types, this is one for fans of bling. Notes of orange blossom, tonka bean and pink pepper add up to a sensual heady floral fragrance. Great for getting noticed at night.
A grown-up floral, this isn’t overpowering at all thankfully. Beautifully bottled, it contains notes of lily of the valley, hyacinth and marigold, on a base of woody cashmeran and cypress.
A new iteration of the original fragrance, this delicious green floral is light, fresh and really easy to wear. Citrus and patchouli notes rework this traditional rose scent and the bottle is elegant on a dressing table too.
Much raved about, but why? The secret lies in the carefully curved silicone rubber pad which curls lashes to perfection. There’s no crazy crimp which you can so often get with cheaper offerings, just soft, realistic looking lashes.
A bit of a spend, but this motorised foot-scruffer literally sands off dead skin. Two interchangeable heads make short work of even the most horrible of hooves and will have feet going from festering to fabulous in mere minutes.
If you’ve never tried a foundation brush, or felt the flat paintbrush-style ones were a letdown, try this new-generation stippler. Apply liquid products in circular motions and watch it buff your base to perfection.
It shapes nails as if they were butter and because it’s glass, seals the tips so the idea is nails get stronger over time as no water can penetrate. You do need to mind it, but for ease of use this cannot be beaten.
