Anatomy of a look: Hikari Yokoyama

Charity trustee and creative consultant for art and culture Hikari Yokoyama attends the Topshop Unique spring/summer 17 show in London.

A fine knit wrap belted cardi is a chic (and wearable) option to a more formal shirt or blouse.

This metallic stripe beauty by Dodo Bar is a dead ringer for the adopted Londoner’s colourful confection.

Dodo Bar striped metallic merino wool cardigan, Net-a-Porter, €715

We love that Hikari customised her Vintage Dior frames (bought in a Milan flea market) with yellow lenses to match her velvet Topshop skirt. Just goes to show that you don’t need a hefty wallet to pull off a killer front row look.

Velvet pleat midi skirt Topshop, €76

Hikari’s art background lends itself to her colourful, tactile aesthetic. We love her delicious sequin sandals. We love these pocket-friendly fellas from Asos even more. ‘Heaven Sent’, indeed.

Asos ‘Heaven Sent’ sandals, Asos, €60
