Nightclub rapped for advertising ‘test tube’ shots

A NIGHTCLUB in Dublin has been rapped by drinks watchdog MEAS for selling alcohol in test tubes and using images of young people under 25 years of age in beach-theme promotions.

MEAS was responding to a complaint by a member of the public that an advertisement by The Burn Beach Club, that recently changed its name to Tribe Nightclub, could encourage illegal or irresponsible drinking.

One of two posters advertising beach-theme parties at the Stillogan venue referred to the availability of alcohol in test tubes.
