Full recount underway in Wicklow on request from Roche

A full recount is getting underway in Wicklow after a request from Fianna Fáil's Dick Roche who, it seemed, would be eliminated after the 13th count.

There are just 12 seats left to fill in three constituencies with counting resuming this morning in Laois-Offaly and Galway West.

So far Fine Gael has won 70 seats, Labour is on 36, Fianna Fáil has 18, Sinn Féin and Independents are on 13 apiece while two seats have gone to both the People Before Profit group and the Socialist Party.
