Packaging firm’s €3m deal will help it diversify

Zeus Packaging has acquired specialist product supplier, Russell Will for approximately €3m, in a deal which will directly boost the Dublin-headquartered group’s revenues by €7m and further diversify its product offering.

Zeus — which is based in Rathcoole, but also has facilities in Cork and Belfast — is a market leader in the manufacture and provision of disposable products and packaging for the catering, fast food, leisure and healthcare industries in Ireland and Britain.

The takeover of Russell Will will allow Zeus enter the hotel/restaurant and care home markets.

Zeus’ strong growth since its inception 14 years ago has come via a mix of organic and acquisition-led expansion.

Zeus’ founder and chief executive, Brian O’Sullivan, said that the company believes “very firmly” in the Irish market and its latest acquisition “shows our commitment and faith in business in Ireland.”
