Unions are meeting today for talks on last week's public sector pay cuts.
The Public Services Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions is meeting to decide its next move after Finance Minister Brian Lenihan announced salary cuts of up to 15% in last Wednesdays' Budget.
It is unlikely any decision on possible strike action in response to the cuts will be made today.
However unions have said there will be a sustained response to the decision.
