Dáil to debate civil servant pay cut Bill today

Controversial legislation to cut the pay of civil servants will be introduced into the Dáil by the Minister for Finance this afternoon.

The Bill has attracted an angry response from civil servants who are opposed to the pay cuts announced in last week's Budget.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet meets this morning where its expected some discussion will take place on the pay levels of semi-state workers.
