A cloudy day, and there will be widespread showers and rain. Some persistent and heavy rain is expected. There will be a moderate to fresh south to south-easterly wind this morning. Winds will ease a little this afternoon in many areas, although it will remain breezy.

A damp start to the night but the rain will soon clear from Connacht and Munster with clear spells developing. The rain should finally clear eastwards from Ulster and Leinster in the early hours with clear spells here too by the end of the night. Brisk winds at first.

A cool start to the day with any mist and fog lifting to allow some hazy sunny spells. Cloud will thicken later in the morning with rain spreading eastwards through the afternoon. Rain will continue into the evening, some heavy and the wind will also strengthen.
