Whelan takes Lawrence's place for Stoke

Tuncay Sanli took Fuller’s place in the Potters starting line-up, one of two changes Tony Pulis made to the side that had beaten Blackburn 3-0.

Glenn Whelan was the other man promoted to the first XI with Liam Lawrence dropping to the bench.

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez made one adjustment with Jason Scotland restored to the Latics attack and Hendry Thomas making way.
