WATCH: John Bishop and Jose Mourinho face off in a bad jokes battle

This week of all weeks, we really didn’t expect to see Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho having a good giggle with a well-known Liverpool supporter.

The Portuguese manager was dour and unamused after the rivals played out a scoreless draw in Anfield on Monday night.

But he is much cheerier in a new clip released by Channel 4 as part of their Stand Up To Cancer campaign.

The United boss was pitted against scouse comedian John Bishop in a battle to see who could keep a straight face for longest.

Telling each other some classic so-bad-they’re-good jokes, the pair struggle to stay serious until one inevitably cracks up.

"A sheep with no legs!"

The clip is a promo for the full programme Stand Up To Cancer - check it on on Friday at 7pm on Channel 4.
