Fennelly returns for Cats

Kilkenny manager Brian Cody has been given a timely boost by being able to name JJ Delaney, Michael Fennelly, Michael Rice and Aidan Fogarty in his team for tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Limerick.

Reigning Hurler of the Year Fennelly will make his first appearance in this year's Championship, having recovered from the fractured foot he suffered against Cork in the league decider.

Fennelly will resume his midfield partnership with fellow 2011 All-Star Rice, who will also be making his first start of the summer campaign.

Notably, the Cats will line out with a rejigged defence after struggling to keep tabs on the Galway forwards last time out.

The fit-again JJ Delaney returns at full-back with Kieran Joyce taking on the centre back role in the injury-enforced absence of Brian Hogan.

In attack, Fogarty makes a welcome return from injury at top of the left and Richie Power reverts to centre forward where he is flanked by captain Eoin Larkin and the Championship's all-time top scorer Henry Shefflin.

Cody has made five changes in all for the trip to Thurles, with Noel Hickey, Hogan, Cillian Buckley, Paddy Hogan and TJ Reid the players to make way.
