Woman in 20s dies following Clare collision

A woman in her 20s has died following a road traffic collision at Ballylion, Barefield close to Ennis Co Clare shortly before 4pm this afternoon.

A single car with two female occupants crashed on the northbound lane of the M18.

A second woman, believed to be in her 40s, received minor injuries.

The northbound carriageway is closed to traffic and diversions are in place. The southbound carriageway remains open.

Gardaí are investigating.
