Woman and girl found dead in Kerry house

The bodies of a woman and an eight-year-old child have been discovered at a house in Co Kerry.

The discovery was made at around 8.30pm yesterday at a property at Langford Downs – a housing estate approximately half a mile from Killorglin.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the deaths of the 27-year-old woman and the girl, whose bodies remain at the scene.

The house has been sealed off for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
