Viable bomb made safe in Dublin

An army bomb disposal team has made safe a viable device from outside a house in Dublin.

An army bomb disposal team has made safe a viable device from outside a house in Dublin.

The viable device was discovered at the property on Cashel Avenue, Crumlin, south Dublin, at around 11.15pm yesterday.

Gardai contacted the Army bomb disposal team, who carried out a controlled explosion at the scene.

Officers gave the all-clear at around 12.20am.

The remains of the device were handed over to gardaí.
