Speed limits to be reviewed
Speed limits across the country are to be reviewed as part of an overhaul of the current system.
The audit could see limits on some rural and secondary routes reduced, while other dual carriageways and motorways could be revised upwards.
Transport minister Leo Varadkar ordered the review that will be carried out by the National Roads Authority and local councils.
It is hoped the review will improve road safety and bring about a reduction in accidents and road deaths.
