Rabbitte wants re-run of Oireachtas inquiry referendum

A Labour minister has said Ireland should vote again on boosting the power of Oireachtas inquiries.

Pat Rabbitte believes last October's referendum should be re-run, to try and give a parliamentary inquiry more strength to investigate Ireland's banking collapse.

The Minister for Communications said the wording that was put before voters first time around would probably have to be altered if the vote was held again.
