A young jobseeker who became known as 'Jobless Paddy' when he erected a billboard in Dublin looking for employment to save him from emigration has had his dream come true.

Féilim MacAnIomaire tried the unusual job-seeking stunt after 10 months of fruitless searching, and at the time said it was his last-ditch effort before emigration.

Some 30 interviews with different companies followed his billboard idea before he secured a probationary job with Paddy Power Bookmakers.

Today the publicity-savvy company announced it was making Mr MacAnIomaire a permanent member of staff, adding that it currently had over 100 vacancies on its books.
