New SBP poll makes grim reading for Labour Party

Labour is now the least popular party in the country, according to a new Red C opinion poll, due to be published in tomorrow's Sunday Business Post.

The poll, which was taken just last week, asks: "If there were a General Election called tomorrow, which party or independent candidate would you give your first preference vote to?".

In the results of the poll only 15% said they would give their number one vote to Labour.

That is a 4% drop compared to what the coalition partners actually received in the General Election last year.

Fine Gael remains the country's most popular party with 32% saying they would give them their number one.

Independents are second on 19%, Fianna Fáil is in third on 18% followed closely by Sinn Féin on 16%.Home
