Man killed in Galway collision

A 24 year old man has been killed in a car crash in Knockdoe this morning.

A 24 year old man has been killed in a car crash in Co Galway.

He died when the car he was driving collided with a traffic island at Knockdoe on the N17 Galway to Tuam road at around 2.30am this morning.

The road is currently closed while gardaí carry out a forensic examination of the scene. Diversions are in place.

Gardaí in Galway are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact them.
