Man arrested in connection with murder of David Douglas

Gardaí have arrested a man, aged in his mid 30’s, in connection with the investigation into the murder of David Douglas, fatally shot on Bridgefoot Street, Dublin 8 on 1st July 2016.

The man was arrested in North County Dublin this afternoon and is currently detained at Kilmainham Garda Station.

David Douglas suffered a number of gunshot wounds while standing on Bridgefoot Street.

He was approached by a man in possession of a firearm who fired a number of shots, fatally wounding the victim.
