Leixlip Gardaí investigate explosion at house

An investigation is underway after an explosive device was hurled through the front window of Co. Kildare home at 8pm yesterday evening.

The device detonated and caused extensive damage to the house in the Broadford area.

One person was inside at the time, but they were uninjured.

The scene's been preserved for technical examination and Gardaí at Leixlip are investigating.
