Irish taxation system 'unsustainable'

A member of the commission on taxation has said that Ireland's taxation system was unsustainable and we are now learning the hard way.

Economist Dr Micheal Collins says we need to widen the tax base to increase revenue without penalising the more vulnerable.

He says he does not believes cutting social welfare is the way forward.
