Ireland is one of the top recycling countries in the EU

Ireland ranks 7th in the EU for recycling and recovering packaging waste, according to Repak.

Over the last 20 years, Irish people have recycled eight billion plastic bottles and seven billion glass bottles.

The number of landfills has decreased from 126 to just four.

Repak has released the figures to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
